Media reform organization announces 13th annual conference in Vancouver focusing on information control and aboriginal voices
The Media Democracy Days (MDD) conference brings together citizens and scholars to discuss the state of Canada’s media system
17 SEPTEMBER 2013 – Media Democracy Days (MDD) have announced the full program for their 13th annual conference taking place November 8-9, 2013. Organized by Simon Fraser University’s School of Communication, OpenMedia.ca, and the Vancouver Public Library, this year’s MDD will focus on two themes: information control and aboriginal voices. The conference features two full days of public events including a film screening of Terms and Conditions May Apply (2013), hands-on workshops, a media fair exhibition, and numerous panel discussions on the state of Canada’s media systems.
